Just American thank you. The gieco cavemen are not really cavemen that commercial is sooooo augghhh. Caveman is only a caveman when he lives in a cave. They live in penthouse for the commercial and eat a five star restuarants. That is a city person. This ques has to be from a comedian with no knowledge about Americans. Or maybe can not decide what he/she is yet??

Why should you. I call Americans just plain old American. I thought we were all Americans until the Politically Correct crowd started calling themselves Hyphenated-Americans.
It's funny. People say they want to be treated equally but then separate themselves with their hyphenated names.

No. And blacks shouldn't be called African Americans either. An African American is someone who was born in Africa and came to America, white or black or any other color. If they were born in America then they are just American.
