ever saw a man in prison and talked to him every other day and written to him and he wrote you back for 5 years and the two of you made future plans and thought your lives were going to be so perfect and nice? Until he gets out of prison, assigned to live in another state and then totally blows you off and doesn't want to call or write or see you again?

This just happened to me last Autumn. I'm completely torn up about it and I have constant reminders of what I thought was real and I feel as though I've dealt with a stranger for the past 5 years. Has anyone out there encountered this exact or similar problem? If you have please tell me of your experience(s) and tell me how you dealt with it. I am so incredibly depressed about the whole thing and I need someone who has been through this similar situation and can help me through it. Honest, kind and truthful answers please. Thank you!

Personally I would not take a guy from prison seriously...but that is just me.

Someone once told me that men in jail/prison just use people that write and send letters as a way to get through their situation and pass time. They are just using that to help them emotionally and survive in there. Since they don't know who is actually gonna be there for them when they get out so they have to feed bullshit cuz they have nothing more to offer.

What is a convicted felon going to offer you once they get out with a criminal record and God knows what else... Just think on the bright side...maybe it is good that this guy is in another state and you never had him in the end. But just think of all the things he could have been hiding from you. This experience has only mad you wiser and hopefully opened your eyes. Love yourself and don't jeopardize your safety. The Lord works in mysterious ways so just count this as a blessing.

I once befriended a guy who was in prison. We wrote for 2 years and I did visit him once. But I never made future plans with him and he stopped writing me.
I'm sorry you feel betrayed and hurt, but think about this:A GUY IN PRISON BLEW YOU OFF?!? Honey, he was a loser. A nobody. You never really had a future with him in the first place. I'm sorry if I'm coming off harsh, but you can do better!! Look for a guy WITHOUT a record. OK? Move on and except that this was meant to be. Maybe he knew he wasn't good enough for you??? Maybe he was just using you as someone to talk to while he was in jail??? Did you ever give him money or presents?? Maybe he got what he wanted from you and decided to move on?!
You need to get over him and find someone else honey!! Someone without a past. Someone without a record!!! OK? I hope I helped! Good luck to you!!!

No never have. Why would you think that someone in PRISON..cough cough..PRISON....is going to be someone to rely on? I understand your pain. I understand that you are the stable one. But have you ever thought that this may be a gift? God has a plan for you and he is not in your plan. You can do better than a prison inmate..TRUST ME!

what is someone who's been in prison going to be able to do for you once they get out? They can't get a job unless it's cash under the table - they can't get credit because they do not have a solid credit history - criminals are con artists and unfortunately you got conned

Um, I think you are probably better off without him if he blows you off like that, not even thinking about the whole prison thing.
