If the pastor had known, he would have passed over you. Holy Communion is between you and God, if you have taken it in an unfit manner, then you have sinned against God. I would discuss it with him.

You have asked a very pertinent question, which speak to the Psyche of your mind. You did something that is totally out of place in what you were thinking. You love to deceive and it makes you feel like you have gotten away with something. Maybe you were interested in how it tastes, maybe you are a wineo, and needed to taste the wine.

But the most part you did what you did is just to see if God would smite you down in a bolt of lightning. AS you found out, he didn't, as taking Communion is just a personal thing. If you really believe it is to help cleans your sins and body then fine. If you just took it to have a treat then that is want you got. God or the pastor, father, priest or whoever, really doesn't care why you took it. As you have to live with the personal lie and it is your conscience that will haunt you for these deeds of dishonor.

It is you that judges yourself on this one. You are the one that let answer world know that you are a liar before God and the church and Pastor. So who are we to tell you your thoughts.

I hope you can help yourself as you know where liars will go.?

If you had a pastor and not a priest, you should be fine, since it is only the Catholic Church that has restrictions (as far as I know.) The belief is that all are welcome to the feast of the lord, in protestant Church's, in my experience. In the Catholic church, the restrictions are due to the belief in Transubstantiation - The belief that the bread and wine actually DO turn into the body and blood of our Lord.

Since it bothers you, you might just find that you believe more than you think. I would suggest discussing it with the pastor - he (or she) would probably welcome the chance to help you to work past the guilt and learn more in the process.

How many of your friends and family(male and female.). were there .was one of them a female friend who you thought might not like you if you did not go through the motions at least.
you would not be the first to just go through the motions . if it bothers you then tell either your parents or your pastor to sooth your mind and soul.the pastorlo may have already read in your face and voice that you did not truly believe yet but might at a latter date.
It is a ritual that predates the christian church. and has more to do with acknowlowging the earth and the heavens, male and female.

I suppose because you are sick.

Why else would you be on this Q&A.
The questions you ask and answer haunt you.
You are probably a really nice person-- but when you get to hide behind anonimity!

I relly do wonder what you are doing?
You can't possibly be that bored.

Here's something for you to consider. Read I Corinthians 11:27-30. Still feel smug and wise about it? You shouldn't.

First, it's not a "treat" it is a privilege, and if you chose to lie and you don't believe, then that's all you would see it as, is just a snack.

Are you lying to God, yourself, or the community where you took it?

Lies are what they are---Self Deception.
Judas did the same.
