my mother always tells me to stop eating ice cream even though i dont eat it that much. She says shes worried, but i work out sometimes and i think im ok. Do u think im overweight?

you didn't say how tall you are, but my 12 year old is 5'5" and weighs 150 and no, he's not fat.

How much did you grow last year? 20 lbs in one year at your age isn't unusual because it is possible for you to have grown several inches in height. If you weigh 130 lbs and are at least 5'6" tall then you are right where you should be. As long as you are eating a healthy,balanced diet and are physically active you will be fine. Ice cream as an occasional treat isn't that bad either. It has calcium in it which is essential for your health. Don't even read that jerk Andre's response. He sounds lke an idiot.

13 is the age you start 'sprouting' and growing up and sideways. It depends on your height if 130 is a good weight for you. If you're 5ft then..it's a little above average and you should be careful, however it's not too bad.. just remain active. If you're anywhere close to 5'5", then you're at close to a perfect weight. And by the way...I DO NOT think you're overweight..however REMEMBER to keep active!

that's terrible that your mother says those things, anyway you should be the only person judging the way you look your young and 130 is not alot of weight for women. so be prepared to gain weight while your growing. anyway youll have a growth spurt any time now and be a foot taller by the time your sixteen. so worrie less about what others think and do whats best for yourself

well it depends on how tall you are. i would reccomend checking your BMI just to see what category you fall into. but by no means should you use that to determine whether you are overweight or not. talk to your doctor. and to lose weight, don't go on a diet. make healthy lifestyle decisions (sp?) and workout a few times a week and the weight will come off slowly. Because if u crash diet to lose this weight, you'll gain the weight you lost (and probably a little more!)

Boy or girl? How tall? Do you get a lot of exercise? Take a good look at yourself, you can see if you have too much fat. Can you pinch an inch? Eat healthy, exercise and you will be fit. Take care!

Well.... it depends on your hiegth
Cuz im 13 and 4'10" Yup and I weigh 80 pounds! Now some people would say I am underwieght but i really am not b/c of my height! WHat is your height? and that will help!
