All these people describe their God as such a "loving" and "caring "god" and remember "he sees everything". What kind of "loving God" sits back and watches children, whom he supposedly loves and cares about, be tortured, molested and killed and does nothing to prevent it, after all he does have the power to stop it in a second. If we did that as humans, we would be arrested and thrown in jail! Please I'm interested in hearing a logical answer.

God gives us all the ability to choose right from wrong, unfortunately he can't tell us what to do. The people doing this are the ones that are wrong, they're the ones making the conscious choice to hurt this little angels. I hate reading or hearing about children getting hurt in the most horrible and inhumane ways. The thing that consoles me is knowing they'll end up in a beautiful place where God will care for them and they'll never know pain again.

The scriptures imply that good people die to PROTECT them from evil, they find peace in death. That's Isaiah 57:1, a scripture you'll never hear read by a priest just before passing the collection plate. This is the existence where we gain the knowledge of good AND evil, after all.

In the New Testament, Jesus says the angels of children will always see the face of God.

If you don't believe in God or eternity these answers will not sound logical. The first "leap of faith" is nothing more than choosing to hope there is a loving God in Heaven. Then life in this existence starts to make more sense.

If you're the scientific type, I suggest you start with the effort being made to justify Einstein's theories with what apparently works in quantum physics. Take "time" out of the equation and it all starts to make sense. ... a scientific explanation of eternity.

My prayers are with you on your search for answers. Never hesitate to shake your fist at God if you feel the need. He can handle it.

OK. You said "logic", so here goes. He wouldn't. So...either God exists, and is not loving, exists, IS loving, but has no power to stop it , does not exist. or...does not exist in the "form" , or way, that you imagine, or conceptualise. I go for the last, for reasons too numerous and kinda convoluted to go into here;personal experience, and thinking/exploration, over the last 12 years or so.
And I had a pretty rough time as a kid--so no, it's not just lazy thinking. I think it's a good question, but really just the start of a possible exploration , the nature of which is always personal--ie:not answered solely by logical deduction, or by debate. I believe God exists (but not as "grandpa in the sky", tho it's a handy visualisation , sometimes) , That he/she/it IS loving, that we are all contained within that conscoiusness, and vice-versa, and that "freewill", is vitally important to the unfolding of our destinies (and yes--am aware of the paradox in that statement, lol). But briefly, if YOU can't "stand by" whilst these atrocities take place , then THAT to me, is evidence of God's love and presence.....so can you?

God is letting an issue be settled that Satan raised. He said God was withholding good from his creations and they would be better off ruling themselves. God has allowed mankind the time to try every sort of rulership to show we can not rule ourselves, that we would make a mess of things and bring injury to ourselves, we can not stop the atrocities that are happening. If God interfered and stopped bad from happening, he would be helping to prove Satans charge and God can not do that. The time is almost here for God to take action though, to send Jesus back to break up the works of the devil. As God says, there is nothing that man,Satan, or this system of things can do that God can not straighten out including death.

My project is, i'm homeless and that i now understand that what I counted directly to possibly deliver me out of my project isn't genuine, and that i'll proceed to be homeless, in and out of shelters. everywhere I turn, I hear christian say 'Pray approximately it,' or 'do no longer enable devil use you,' and it fairly is consistent-yet those same Christians can't help me-they supply me issues they themselves does no longer choose-undesirable housing, spoiled foodstuff, previous outfits, and so on. I fairly have never taken drugs, or offered them, never prostituted my physique, or carried out something unlawful-yet i'm nonetheless residing this existence the place i think God has forsaken me. For the checklist, i grow to be molested and raped as a new child, and neither my mom or my different kin believed me. I fairly have tried to have self belief God via fact that i grow to be 9, yet this question that this guy asked is one that i choose solutions to, myself. i'm able to't determine how people's sin are the clarification why babies could go through, and what's worst is, while those freaks try this to harmless toddlers-they bypass to reformatory, locate Jesus, get forgiveness, and that's it. What with regard to the youngsters they harm? What approximately that? I fairly have a tricky time believing any God can enable for babies to be slighted, and turn around and forgive the persons who did it. i do no longer think of there's a God. could no longer be. that's all I could say.

As others have mentioned, God gave man the "choice" to do whatever they wish to do. What mortal men can not comprehend is God's point of view on the overall picture of life and death. When Adam and Eve disobeyed God's commandment not to eat from the tree of knowledge God saw fit to comdem them and all their descendants to die, and to suffer in many other ways as well. However, for those who live righteously and obey His laws, there is the promise of everlasting life after death. This is God's way to separate the faithful from the undeserving.

Children are innocents, but they are going to die just as surely as the adults, so is it really an unkind or uncaring God that permits evil men to hasten their death? Is it an uncaring or unloving God that permits a child to suffer and die from disease, famine, tsunamis, floods, storms, earthquakes, volcano eruptions, accidents, ?

Man's view of life is limited to the present life because we have no knowledge of any other life. All we have is the "belief" that a better life is waiting for those who deserve it. This belief is based upon the promise of God, so it is not the present life that determines God's love for man. It is the life he has prepared for those who deserve his love.

Your question is valid. It's never easy to see bad things happen to people - especially children.
It is important to keep in mind that God isn't behind these things but it is the sin of fallen man that is the source of this evil. God gave us free will so that we would be able to love Him genuinely and sincerely. This free will also means we can choose to shun Him and be sinful. God can intercede to prevent the evils of sin and sometimes does.
Other times God allows bad things to happen. As a Christian I have to trust that He has a greater understanding than I do. What is intended for evil, He can use for good. Maybe He can use a bad situation to instill compassion is someone who otherwise would have been cold hearted, maybe He will use it to inspire them to actively work to improve the lives of others in difficult situations.
In the Old Testament God allowed foreign nations to conquer the nation of Israel, His chosen people. He loved them but they had turned from Him and began worshipping other Gods. He allows their nation to be conquered that they would recognize their need for Him and draw them back to Him which is more important than anything else in life.
In this world we will find trouble but it is passing - as long as we recognize our need for God and a relationship with Jesus Christ we are guaranteed an eternity of paradise.

I agree with you totally, thats why I prefer to think that there is no God all the stories in the bible is just that stories but if there is a GOD all of the things that happen is his way, In the bible all GOD was known for was getting angry and killing. He got upset and murdered millions of innocent people by dwowning them in a flood.

Seeking god is a delusionary activity that leads people to great depths of depravity (child molester waco koresh). Seek good everywhere and god nowhere. Burn the child molesters where ever you spot them. The world will be a better place.

God does not want his children to suffer at all. Man was exiled from the Land of the Living to the land of the dead where there is no Knowledge, no Wisdom, and no Understanding. Thus Man caused his own death by eating the "fruit" that was poisoned with the "knowledge of evil," and caused himself to be cast into the endless cycle of the fires of Hades. God is not the cause of torment in Hell since the devil is the ruler of this world. God has never wished to torment Man endlessly in the fires of this world, but He has rather been working for ages on a plan to rescue Man from the place that has entrapped him.

The Scriptures tell us of the plan of God to save us out of the world of the dead and to save us from being condemned along with this world. The theme of the entire Bible (despite its apparent diversity and variety of men who wrote it down) is concerning the plan of God to free man from the captivity he brought upon himself. And man (Adam) has no idea or notion of the sacrifice that God has made for man's redemption -- to free man from the captivity that he works so hard at to retain. The Bible, from front to back, is concerned with releasing Adam (Man) from his sentence of death, from his imprisonment in the world, which is "beneath", and restoring him to his former estate.
