Has anyone been hit by a golf ball,or seen someone get hit?

I got hit in the leg by a 3 wood shot and it hurt like ____.

I've seen someone get hit so hard in the head that they had to be taken away in an ambulance.

The worse thing, however, is hitting someone with a errant shot. There is no worse feeling in the world than hitting someone unintentionally.

I've also seen someone take a bird right out of the sky with a shot at the driving range. The bird fell out of the sky as if hit by a shotgun blast and hit the ground with a terrible thud. Worse yet was the man that hit the bird. He cradled the poor dying bird in his hands until the bird expired. The guy packed up his clubs and the bird and went home. I never saw him practice at the range again.

I've hit a few people. The most memorable was a woman that a pro was giving a lesson to on the edge of my fairway. I yelled when my drive started to slice and the ball hit the cart next to her and ricocheted into her thigh and knocked her down. By the time I got up there to apologize, she had a black and blue mark the size of a football on her thigh

Since I work at a golf course I've seen a couple of people get hit. My friend that works with me got pegged in the back. It left a pretty nice welt.

I've been hit twice and I saw a guy get hit the other day. If you haven't been hit... it hurts. Once in the head (good thing I have a hard head) and once in the umm... buttocks. It didn't knock me out when it hit me in the head, but lets' just say it was a good thing I had a couple of beers in me. In both instances you could see the dimples of the ball in my skin. The shot in the butt was a gnarly bruise. It was black for a week.

I'm a high school golf coach and my assistant and I were watching our golfers putt out on a par five when we heard "fore". By the time we reacted my assistant got nailed in the middle of the back and went down like a lead balloon! He didn't loose consciousness but was in pain for a few days.

I was at our driving range once, and when i swung to hit the ball, I accidentaly let go of my driver and it flew to the right about 30 ft and nailed a guy in the knee. I hung my head low that day.

i got hit by a baseball bat before when i am young. i am still fine and no brain damage. and i got hit by a soccer ball with out a cup that is really painful.
