yep, they are called potato wedges, and if they are not quite as thickly cut then they are called steak fries.

That is weird, I was born and raised in Texas and have never heard them called Texas wedges.

Popularly called potato wedges or steak fries but plenty of places that sell them just plainly call them fries. Sometimes they're called home fries but a lot of actual home fries are made out of sweet potato.

They are cut thicker and are called Texas wedges. Some resturants use vinegar, Some have soft cheese to smother then in, But no matter they leave thr skins on abs people all over love them. Give them a try ..You'll be pleased with the Texas wedges
