i made plain cupcakes but i put sprikles int he batter so they look rainbowy. its that ok? its it going to like make an acid and kill me? (jk)

It's sugar and dye. You'd be consuming them whether they were in your cupcakes or on them. They're really not volatile little things.
It does look neat though when the dyes bleed into the surrounding cake...

Its fine. Ive done that before.
You can also divide your white batter into seperate bowls and adda drop or two of food color to them. mix them up.
Then into the cupcake tray you mix them. A spoonful of green, one of blue, one of red... and so on untill all your cups are full. Bake as usual.
It is somewhat time consuming but the after effect is awesome. The colors dont really run together so you get really neat color variations when you cut into / bite into the cake.
You can also add flavored extracts along with the colorings for an extra flavor surprise.

My fiance is making a cupcake tier cake for our wedding, so hopefully everyone won't get too buzzed like a bad hit of acid. But your cupcakes sound great so hope that you enjoy them.

It's the same as eating colored icing off the cake. You could also put chocolate and peanut butter chips in the batter, then bake them. That makes them even better!!!

Thats totally fine! My mom used to do that when I was little for my birthday, you can actually buy cake mixes with the sprinkles already in there!

I don't think you have much to worry about cupcakes killing you just by adding rainbow sprinkles to the mix.
They're a perfectly harmless candy confection.
