Depends on what the change is. If you are talking about a completely different culture, that is important. I am working with a culture that is predominantly NOT what I am normally used to working with. My JOB is fine, but the amount of tension in the air with this particular culture is thick as pea soup. If that is what you are dealing with that may be a problem.

First, familiarize yourself with the job. Second, be friendly with co-workers. Third, do not be afraid to consult your immediate superior. Fourth, attune yourself to the informal communications system (grapevine). The rest would then fall into place later.
