There's a recent one, where the dog dialed 911 on a cell phone and saved a guys life... the guy was a diabetic, and the dog had been trained to detect the different blood sugar levels by licking the guys nose periodically. The guy was going into a diabetic coma, and the dog bit down on the programmed number for 911, and ended up saving the mans life.

I believe in the wake of the tsunami, there was a child separated from his parents. His dog found him and led him to his mother, saving his life.

yup i have one
one day me and my dog(alaskan malamute) were walking on the street when a car going at approximately 50mph in a 30 zone hit a pedestrian crossing it.
well i ran to the lady and asked her are you hurt badly?
my dog starts running , and i sense something he went to get help.
there i sat with the lady for 10-15 mins , when i see an ambulance.
my dog saw an ambulance far away headed his way and stopped in the middle so the paramedics could see the dog and they knew from him barking that its calling for help.
the lady was admitted to the hospital and in 5 months she recovered fully.
