I am sorry about your cat. Just know that God will take care of him and that he is in the best care. My cat said hope he gets better, My dog and rabbit agree.

I am so sorry to hear about your cat. I have never had to go through this.

One thing you can do for your cat when he comes home and for yourself if you are still upset is to get a bottle of Rescue Remedy from a health foods store. You can put three or four drops of the remedy in a small glass of water and sip it for a few hours when you are feeling upset.

When your kitty comes home you can use the same remedy on him. You shake the bottle really well and put three or four drops on his fur between his ears. Use a lot of it with him. Treat three or four times day for the next week. It can absolutely do no harm and will help him relieve his emtional trauma and shock from his accident. He really needs this kind of healing and it will make his physical recovery more complete.

A list leader from a group I am on recently posted three solid pages of glowing testimony from veterinarians who had started to use this in their practices.

If your kitty has to stay at the emergency vets and you are allowed to visit him you can put the drops on his fur while you are there. This will help if he has fears related to being away from you and being in a strange place.

Honestly, I believe that if the vet has promising news, than your kitty should be just fine. Vets are generally pretty honest and will let you know the best outcome. If nothing else, kitty will get a good nights rest and possibly be a little stoned to. So, have a glass of wine and join kitty in a peaceful night.

As a vet student, I know that the emergency vets will do everything they can to help your cat. Most of them have been in your shoes, so they understand how important he is to you. You have done your best to get him good care, so don't blame yourself and just stay stong for him! I'll be praying for you both, and hopefully your kitty can come home soon.

If the vet is just keeping the cat one night it will probably be fine! Did the car stop? It is hard to find your animal like that and it is also sickening to hit one with a car!I hope you and the kitty are fine tomorrow!

You've already done the best thing for him by taking him to the vet. Also if he is just there for one night then he must not have been hurt too bad. Rest well so you won't be too tired to show him how much you love him when he comes home.

The vet will make sure your cat is comfortable and able to rest peascefully. The best thing you can do for your cat is to have a quiet place for him to lay down when he comes home.

If he is at the vet emergency room then he is in good hands. Get a good night sleep and be ready to take good care of him when he gets home. Good luck,
