hello, I agree totally, if we use wwjd, we can subsutuute anything. for example what would Jesus drive what would jesus wear, whatwould jesus eat ect. we can strech it to extremes. But, if we use wdjd, then we are to look to the Bible for guidance, it dosent allow us to take it to extremes because we are bound by Gods word. (This is why my name is WDJD)
God Bless

What Would Jesus Do.. is used because.. in our own daily lives, with the interesting and sometimes difficult decisions we come across.. it is a way to stop and think about what the right thing to do about your situation would be.. Example: Someone offers you an IPOD for an unbelievable price of $23.00 when it is worth $299.00, because it "fell off a truck." (What Would Jesus Do?) Determine for yourself.. I think, He would decline and either state the commandment about stealing or offer a parable regarding the situation. Myself..I'd probably just politely refuse.
Although, What "Did" Jesus Do.. could make an interesting Bible Study topic.

What I LOVE is how people who WEAR WWJD do NOTHING like what Jesus DID!
Jesus did none of what these people do. He didn't persecute people getting abortions, people who are gay (in fact he never mentioned them), he didn't call sinners evil or destructive when the Pharisee 's told him he was BAD for hanging out with sinners (instead he said, "wouldn't it be better if their "helper" were with them," instead of them being without one?) yet most Christians place themselves above Christ and judge people he didn't.
Sad.

It is not what did Jesus do because we who do believe are expected to learn what He did do ... and from that knowledge makes life decisions based on what we believe He would do if in the same situation we might find ourselves in.
Anyone who sins is an hypocrit.

They left a few words out of that. "What would Jesus do if he were still alive today?"
