As long as she is acting normally let it be.

The vet will be able to do an ultrasound and see if a csection is needed.

If your dog develops pain or fever or stops eating or drinking it is time for an emergency trip to the vet.

Your dog is a little old to be having her first litter of puppies. And I hope you plan on spaying her afterwards. Watch to see if she is leaking any green liquid or you can see a placenta coming out of her that doesn't move after 20 minutes, either of those two get her to the vet.

Whoah, sounds like your dog is about to explode! My dog was bred and tied after yours did, and she's been nesting, having discharge, and her temp has been getting lower for a week or so now.

I wouldn't wait that long, but if you have to, then you don't really have a choice. I've heard that sitting the dog up so that gravity can take effect and kind of let the pups drop down will work, and that massaging her nipples will make her release a chemical that makes her contractions harder, and just leaving her alone. I took my dog to the vet on Saturday, and then they called to check on her Monday and she told me that it sounds mean, but for me to just leave her alone and don't "mother" over her. She said that my dog senses that I'm frieked out and stressed and so she isn't gonna have hose pups til I leave her alone and let her be and let nature take its course. It could be that you're like me and you baby your dog like me, and that's why she's late on delivering.

It sounds like either you calculated her due date wrong, or she's gonna need a c-section on Friday.

Best of Luck to You and your little one.} You can look at my yahoo 360 page and I've blogged my dog's pregnancy progress since last week. It may help a little in what to look for.

By day 65 I would be getting pretty nervous. Are you sure she is pregnant?

6 1/2 is awfully old for a first litter.

She could be having a false pregnancy. She is 10 days overdue? Not good if she is pregnant.

let nature take its course...try not to worry...and if you can't help but worry, call the vet and ask him.
