Is that what you tell the ugly or handicap person to console them? "don't worry, God had a plan for you, and that plan was to teach us to feel sorry for you"........or
"God created a mess like you to test me!"

Because you are all clueless!
I was asking a rhetorical question for kris t sake, get over yourselves.
and yes,
how do you know that handicap people are beautiful on the inside as a rule? or ugly people?
Why is it when you ask "why did god make the handicap, or the really ugly and/or disadvantaged, the knee jerk response from true believers is "to teach us compassion"! So can you now apply that to my question and give an intelligent and thoughtful response on your philosophy>?

Wow! you must be one of those really shallow people that believes that you are perfect........I feel so sorry for you. People with your kind of mentality is the problem with the world today. Good luck with your conscience later in life, one day you will need it.

No! Theology like that pisses me off. God doesn't make people handicapped. Would any parent do that to their child? Things go wrong in this natural world and everyone turns out different. I believe that God has a plan for everyone (we can live into it or run from it - hence free will) but God does not let bad things happen so we can learn from them. When bad things happen the wise person can/should learn from them and ask God for wisdom and comfort. But don't blaspheme God by making God out to be a monster. Grrrr!

Some of the most advanced souls in this world have incarnated into bodies that are extremely challenged. Every life is a choice made by a soul from a higher level, to be of service. Many of these lives are in fact designed to teach compassion, which is sorely needed in this world if we are to survive the present and coming challenges and evolve to become more conscious and responsible stewards of life. I once met a handicapped boy who was only 4, could not walk or talk except through a letter board, but he touched my heart with the purest love I have ever felt from a human being. I also met a girl who was bound to a wheel chair and could not talk, but she communicated with me telepathically, appeared to me in dreams, and healed my heart. Never judge a book by its cover.

I truly believe every person is born with talent and disability's and your disability is stupidity, life is not fair but the people you claim are shockingly ugly or handicapped are much more beautiful than you inside and out
To answer your question, IF God Exist than yes, on the other hand I would say natural selection, except for drug abuse. They people sill have to live in our society and it must be much more very difficult than an average person. so some will never know love for this reason and will be rejected by the slim make up, jock society we live in, too many unreal people

I think it's funny that some people assume that handicapped people all possess this 'inner beauty' because of their disability. What if the person is bitter and vengeful for being forced to start out with a severe disadvantage? What if they want to kill 'normal' people because of this but are held back by their condition?
Don't even get me started on the "People are all good at heart" bit

This is undoubtedly the nastiest question yet. Guessing you must be atheist. Can you people fall any father from humanity? Guess what, its not all about you. That "shockingly ugly or handicapped person" is a real person, with feelings, hope and dreams just as important as yours. Maybe more important than yours, because they're most likely real humans. Everyone has their own tests and trials, maybe your test is your own humanity, which I'm guessing from your sensitivity, you failed.

I have many friends who are what you would consider "ugly or handicapped" BUT I don't have a single friend in the world that I would consider ugly on the inside. I have to really wonder why you could ask such a shallow and heartless question.

That would be kinda sick, right?
So much for loving and respecting everyone.
No, this is more likely to be a poorly constructed religious solution to why some people are less able than others.
By the way, I've never heard anyone say that. "God had a plan for you, and that plan was to teach us to feel sorry for you." You really heard someone say that?

Well, were do I start?Little miss,I would like to say I have a handicappe son.He was born 3 months early weighing in at 1lb.5oz.and was13 inches long.He fought for his life for the first year of his life.I finally got to take him home from the hospital 1 year later. He has c/p and is in a wheelchair and has to wear diapers all of his life, but he is my son.I love him with all my heart.Do you know how it feels when he ask me how it feels to walk and run?It breaks my heart.Hes came along way and if you ever seen his big bright blue eyes light up when he accomplished something its all worth it.And his smile would melt your heart. Please before you go and put people down it could happen to one of your children one day or a loved one.Im not mad at you I just want you to understand in a mothers eyes.I feel blessed with my son.I have learned alot from him.God bless you all.
