if you don't notice that your hair is thinning, it could be just breaking off. do you have long hair? long hair tends to look like a lot is coming out in the shower, when it's really just tangled. Also, if you wear a pony tail a lot, you could just be losing all the hair in the shower that you would normally lose in a day.
if it looks like it is thinning (you see some balding spots) you should go to your doctor, it could be hormones or vitamin deficiency.

whatcha been doin' to your hair hun. It's normal for some hair to fall out because new hair replaces it but at 16 something's wrong. If you have colour treated it and it's damaged it may be breaking off.
But I'd suggest you go to your doctor and ask for a thyroid test. It's a blood test and will tell if you have low thyroid. Hair loss is a sympton and with medication can be treated. Do it now though.

I kinda have the same problem as you. Someone recommended INFUSIUM 23. It has 23 vitamins and minerals that have greatly improved their hair. I'm planning to try it.
Do not apply moose, gel, hairspray, or any styling products. That will cause buildup and pressure. If you use them everyday, try Pantene Pro-V: Purify Clarifying Shampoo. They say, use once a week and the build-up in your hair will be gone.

Take vitamins too. And see a doctor about this.

No need, so many hairs fall out of everyone's body everyday. Your hair just happens to fall out during your shower so u notice it, if it falls out a little by little at school, you'll never notice!

you probably use too many hair products. just remember to brush your hair BEFORE you shower, and not after.
if it's not the hair products thing, then just don't brush your hair at all, and if you must, use a wide tooth comb. brushing your hair too much is bad for you. believe me, my hair is curly, and really thick, but it never tangles or falls off.

Ummm...a ball of hair as in a lot? If this is happening everyday, you need to see a doctor. You could have a condition that needs to be treated.

You should check to see if it falls out with roots. consider a visit to a hair salon, he/she can better confirm if it's falling out, or breaking off. if it does you might want to see a dermatologist. if it's not falling out with roots, you might have used some chemical, and your hair is breaking off. get advice from the proffesional..Good luck..
