Would God allow deliberate deviations from original translation to occur in the Bible at any time?

If not, then why was the the Bible copyrighted in 1901 to prevent unauthorized tampering of the texts by publishers that occured between the years 1881 & 1901?
Surely God would not allow His Truth to be so willfully corrupted?

If he would allow such a thing, (and recent history tells us this did happen) how is it NOT possible such a thing could have occurred in more earlier times, say, before 1611?

How can the Bible be the INFALLIBLE Words of God, if the POSSIBILITY of deliberate tampering of the text within is evident, as can be verified?

My source is the preface in my Bible sat infront of me.

Thank you, 'AJ', for assuming my level of intellect. How very Christ-like of you.

I take from your inability to respond to my question with a decisive answer and the attack on my mental abilities, I have hit home to one of your fears.
The doubt in your faith is really is not my problem, though.

Good question, Googly.

Makes you want to check out the original in the Vatican Library, doesn't it? ;-)

This is the very reason I hold no belief that the bible is the word of god. It has always had someone changing it over it's life and adding text to suit the ruling class. There are many books never added to the version you use today, just because it would cause the pope to lose some power. You really have a book of stories, written by men, not from god.

You know what is sort of funny interesting here to me...

Hypothetically let us assume a "Provident Deity" ... hmm he/she could save some kids from a famine .. prevent a war .. cure a disease .. lol .. but instead .. high on the priority list is attending to the edits and revisions of this book ...

The ones here with a "faith" that a "God" would not let humans botch the book is humorous to me ... and also all else that is historical and proving to the contrary .. lol

There are several wrong translations and addendums in the King James version of the Bible. So ye God has allowed it. Those translations and addendums do not take away from the messages which God has laid up in his word. Go with what festus_porkchop said.

So, you are more intelligent than God almighty as well the numerous theologians before you were a twinkle in your animal mother's eye, since you think that is all we are, just a chance and some sperm. I assure you, more intelligent people than you worship and trust in God, but you could slander them as you do God. Einstein said this; the more I explore and learn the miracles in the universe, the more positive I am there is a God..Not an exact quote but close..

You need to come up with your own spirituality b/c the Bible is man made, it a jewish book translated many times into several different languages, there are probably things lost in translation, not to mention different things have different meaning for people...

Tell a story to someone and they’ll pass it on and change a bit and so on and so no. Just imagine what could happen over 2000 years.

Read the whole book, not just the preface, it will give you a clearer understanding of what God allows and doesn`t allow.
