intimacy is really important but you can't just base a relationship on that. relationship are suppose to have meaning. i say both. i would want my relationships to be with someone that understands me and the sex is wonderful.

Being best friends with your lover is, in my humble opinion, the best! When things are crazy and you have not had sex for a week and life is getting to you, you still can look at each other and laugh and understand. Gives the relationship something to stand on, passion can fade, but love, respect, and trust from a true friend will last forever.
