Applied math, generally speaking is easier to comprehend because of the fact your examples and formulas are in use. They arent just numbers on the paper, they are real world math techniques put to use. Most people find that applied math can make the subject much easier to learn because of this. In my personal opinion pure math would be much more difficult a course for someone that doesnt naturally comprehend math on paper. Examples in applied math come from the use they have in every day life like subtraction and addition for your check book.

Definitely applied math. Here, applied math is for those who want to get math credits but aren't terribly good in math and don't plan on getting into a college/university program that requires math.

Applied mathematicians have to learn a lot of 'pure' math, namely proofs, to understand the basis for their techniques. And many results in pure math were motivated by problems in physics, and are often best understood with concrete examples.

A lot of it depends on what you like. If you like ordinary differential equations and physics and optimization and stuff like that, do applied. If you prefer chasing proofs and exploring mathematical structures, do pure.

None of them are easy. Both are dificult. I think Pure Math is diffculter than Applied.

relies upon on what college you want to major in. once you're heading into the Sciences, organic Math will do you many more desirable helpful than utilized Math. (Calculus might want to be even more desirable helpful). yet continuously take the harder math to play it secure (except you comprehend you won't be able to bypass, in which then take the less complicated Math with a more desirable grade) organic Math will leave more desirable doors opened for you once you're undecided as to which major you want to pursue. desire this permits!
