I know what you mean. Some questions are asked out of genuine ignorance and shouldn't be confused with stupidity. Sometimes it's hard to tell which is which. If it really bothers you that much, you could try to find a forum where all questions are reviewed by a moderator before they are posted. You might even try setting one up yourself.
Some are asked just to be funny. The good ones come back again and again. The lame ones get discouraged pretty quickly.

Regarding the filter...
I doubt it's possible, but that's a great idea!!!!
Maybe some computer genius working for yahoo or a participant that writes in could invent something.

I dont think it is possible. And you should know that, you know how many silly people there are in the world and how they want attention and will get it any way possible. So, if you wish to continue on Answers, you might as well grow accustomed to the growing igorance of the human race....LOL LOL

Heres a suggestion. If you do not like the questions skip over them and move on with your day. Otherwise, click on them, then use your imagination and creativity to have a little fun back with them. That is the only reason they ask these questions is to get a fun response. Just get over yourself and have some fun or ignore it.

just give them a 'thumbs-down' then move on. hopefully, people will see how badly rated a question is and just ignore the 'stupid' question
