when a girl likes a guy, will she ever approach him and initiate a conversation? i am not shy, i have no problem talking to people, as long as they start =/
whenever i see a girl i'm interested in, i end up freezing and not knowing what to do. i find myself just turning away and telling myself stupid lies to make the pain easier. i've missed many chances in the past, opportunities during which it was obvious the girl was telling she would like for me to talk to her. i know what i should do, which is to just go talk to the damn person, but i still can't. i fear i'll end up watching all the girls i've ever felt attracted to get picked up by some other guy. Damn i'm pathetic. Maybe i don't really need an answer...just wanted to be pitied / scolded / laughed at.

And I though I was the only one with this phobia!!!!Don't be so hard on your self!! ......Whenever there's a guy I like,I never have the gutts to start a conversation.I guess we both have to learn to be more brave!!

Ok that is just to cute lol. YOUR SHY thats all you just need to learn to bust free from that. Life won't come to you You have to come to it. Some women can be very outgoing and start a situation like ME i am one of those girls but most women want a man thats very forth and coming and will initiate it. I like shy guys my hubby is a shy guy and we compliment eachother well. In the mean time rehearse what your going to say, take them steps and blurt it out. You will be amazed how much better a woman reacts. Also a nice smile and awesome eyes help:)

well, when I like a guy, I try to get him to notice me, but usually I would walk up to him and start a converstation. Your'e not pathetic, by the way, just nervous. Try talking to the girl or person like you've known them forever and are really good friends. Don't ever say that your pathetic because you can't talk to a girl, since I can't talk to a guy all that well either.

It depends on the girl. Lots of girls are exactly like that too so they have a hard time initiating a conversation with a guy they like.

hmmm....you're going to have to get over that. Or at least try to make yourself look approachable and available to talk to, because girls are scared of rejection too, you know. just be cool and don't care about what they think of you. if they like you, that's cool, but if they don't, don't trip over it...but i have sympathy for you, it is hard to talk to someone you're interested in. i agree that the girl should have some balls sometimes and talk to they guy...if only the words were that easy to follow...good luck with that

i think you should just walk up and say hi, how's it going? the hardist thing is to be the first to start a conversation. trust me! i like a guy at work (3 yrs now!) sad, i know, but anyway i would like him to just say hello, i catch him looking at me in the lunch room, so maybe if you watch the girl you like (without stalking) you might be able to pick up on the subtle hints she's giving you!!!!

i think you are shyer than you think. maybe pathetic isn't a trait you want to cultivate, better to take a risk and be goofy. attention you get by being pitited will only put you in the wretched 'friend box'. take a chance and either make her laugh or find something very specific about her to compliment.

Force yourself to talk to her. Ask a question that is always easy to start a conversation, then you don't really have to talk, they do the talking. Then once you get comfortable then you can start talking yourself. But if you don't want to pass up the opportunity then force yourself to do it, once you do it, it really isn't that bad. Good luck!

Don't feel bad..lots of people are shy..me included..maybe next time you like a girl..write her a note or something to let her know your into her...tell her you would like to hang out with her your just shy other wise you would ask her face to face.

just say hi and ur name if they dont know u and just ask friendly conversations, or if there in the same classes as u, if ur in school still, then talk about the funny, stupid, ect. things, then keep talking to her and maybe pop the questin when u get there of coures.
