***Do athiests go to hell or heaven?***
Well, I'm confident that some atheists have been told to go to hell. And i sure that some atheists live a heavenly existence right here on earth now. So i would say yes, if such a thing as hell or heaven actually existed there would be atheists in both hell and heaven.
Thanks
Have a blessed day.

Dude you just hit a touchy subject for many. And even though your not a athiest i have to think that you are either thinking about becoming one or kinda lost between religions kinda thing.
lots of athiests are people that claim science etc, but sadly alot of scientists true big time ones, are religious, something happens when your brain absorbs the scope and reality of this universe, and its understanding. But that something usually makes the person turn to religion. Think out of the 11 people that landed on the moon 10 of them ended up being or becoming religious...and yet more still are the same today, its like when they go up a spiritual brick hits them or something.
But since your asking about heaven or hell, i will assume you mean Christians, and then that really depends on what type of christian are you, catholic? roman catholic? protestant? pres? eastern orthodox? etc etc the list goes on.
The idea of a purgatory is alive and well, but thats a subject that has yet to be confirmed or denied by alot of churches and leaves it up to the individual...
Purgatory is the idea of a place of limbo if you will, heaven doesnt want you and hell doesnt either...Basically God is like this about you, since you lived the life as a athiest you denied Gods grace, in doing so you did not earn the right to enter heaven, here in purgatory God will be giving you a chance(s) to change that position, no one stays in purgatory forever. But the reason why your in purgatory and not hell is because you lived a good life, a life of a christian without the belief. So God is not punishing you with hell because you were good, if you will. There if you still deny God etc, then yea you will end up in hell.
But considering your pondering this question, go to your religous community leader and have a talk, the dude will love to have a chat, trust me....
hope that helped or opened your eyes doors or anything like that laters.

Hmmm..I have known a few people who died on the operating table and were dead for several minutes, who came back with stories so I do believe in an existence after death. But, I think of Earth as being one big classroom. We all are here learning different things,we all have different majors so to speak. If we fail to learn what we came here for, then we have to return for another life, and another chance at learning.
This being so, I do not believe in Heaven or Hell, so it is logical that atheists go to the same place everyone else goes when they finish their class-life.

I think that would depend on how they lived their life. Most people have the misunderstanding that there are just two places, heaven and hell. Christ said; "In my Father's house there are many mansions". Meaning, within heaven there are many realms or levels. I believe most people will find themselves in one of them. This does not mean they will be in the presents of God. It also doesn't mean they will not suffer but the suffering they will go through will be of their own making. The eternal burning, the weeping, the wailing, the gnashing of teeth, all because they will have the knowledge of where they are and the knowledge of where they could have been if they had accepted Christ as their savior and followed Him.

Since I'm an atheist, and I don't believe in heaven or hell, I'll just die. But, if I'm wrong and I go to hell, then at least there will be a lot of cool people there to hang out with. Who would want to spend eternity with the bible beaters?

Here's the problem - many atheists may feel that any heaven filled with all the Christians claiming to go there would be a hellish place.

Perhaps to a degree, heaven and hell are subjective.

Athiests, by definition, go to hell. And what is hell you ask next? Hell is total separation from God. And that sucks. Why not accept Jesus Christ as saviour from this? We're only here for a minute! Imagine ten thousand days like this in eternity. What have you got to lose? Talk to God. It's simple. You are not too bad to do it.. God is above that. Like Nike says, just do it. You'll not regret it.

Heaven and Hell are from Christianity. They are scare tactics to keep Christians in line.
Atheists do not go to either place because neither exist.

Neither. I mean if they don't believe in heaven or hell they really have no place to go. Hell is for people who believe but did bad things.
