Yall are terrible i admire everyone who enlists. all of you saying that would not last a day in the army or the air force the marines NOTHING. You have to do as they ask. However I would think you would know you had to shave your head completly then have haircuts every two weeks or less because your hair if a guy cannot touch your ears. for girls it cant touch the collar but you can leave it long if you can put your hair in a bun in less than a minute wihtout it coming out. hope this helps

Seriously, what rock have you been under?? Everyone knows that all men joining the Army (and I'm sure the Marines) get their head shaved. You'll not only get it shaved, but in BCT taken on regular trips to the barber to have it kept that way. Even after BCT and AIT, there's regulations on what your hair can and can't look like. It's only hair anyways.....alot of guys keep their heads shaved in the military....it's just easier. You'll be wearing berets, caps and Kevlar. Get used to it!!
