I do not believe that a church should have yard sales, or garage sales. If the church needs money for something, I trust God can supply the needs, without having to have sales.

As long as the items that are sold are tasteful and things that people would want to buy with reasonable prices - I think so. It is a good way to promote the church and possibly gain a few more members.

Why not? It sounds like a good opportunity for the church to make a bit of money, bring people together, and reach out to the community--and for its congregation to clean out their closets without having to go through the hassles of taking out the ads and having their yards trampled.

Sure, they often need extra money for summer camp,vacation Bible School, just to name a couple.
