It's almost 9pm, but I probably won't go to bed for at least another 6 hours (I'm a night person). I just had a high intensity step class and I'm hungry. I've already had a hamburger and about 10 fries today...so I need something healthy. Any suggestions? (I'm on a low calorie diet)

You still need calories, but not whole lot. Calories keep your metabolism going so you keep burning fat. I like to make a sandwich with toasted bread, sliced tomatoes, with mayo and salt and pepper. But light salt and pepper and light mayo. You can add sliced cucombers too. It is delicious! I also eat sliced tomatoes with salt and pepper by itself. Eggs are good. Ham sandwich. If you want something lighter and still healthy cereal is really good to have. Or you can eat it dry and add nuts and raisons to it. I don't know, I'm also doing the same thing you are. Trying to workout and eat healthy and I just started, but these are the things I eat and snack on. I also grab a glass of 2% milk for snacks in between meals too. Good luck.

On a low-calorie diet it is important to intake enough protein and train with weights to prevent or minimize muscle loss. Depending on how much you weigh, you should eat at least 3/4ths the amount of grams of protein per body weight.

For example, if you're 140 lbs you should get at least 105 grams of protein on a low calorie diet. (While weight training)

So in short: Maybe a chicken salad? : )

Have an apple dipped into something (yogurt, cottage cheese, or even a small amount of peanut butter). Then, drink lots of water, that will fill you up and since you aren't going to bed yet, you'll have time to pee it all out.
