Most digital cameras these days are simple to use. Reading the manual (which I highly recommend) helps of course.
Look for a camera with about 6MP as a minimum...and 3X, 4X.....up to 12X Optical zoom.
Never ever factor in the Digital zoom when selecting a camera (its quality is inferior to optical)
Being a Canon user for a number of years, I can easily recommend the brand. Its the top seller of cameras for a reason.
Some models to consider...
A620...last year's model (7MP, 4X optical) great price...excellent image quality, easy to use, auto + manual controls (when you become familiar with using your camera and want to have more control of your settings).
A540...6MP, 4X optical..auto+manual, very good picture quality...A very good budget option (downside is the low res LCD screen at 85,000 pixels)
A700...6MP, 6X optical...auto+manual controls
A430...4MP, 4X optical...auto only.
There are newer models being released in a couple of months...so that will make the current models drop in price. (unless of course you wish to buy the latest model)

Try any of the Canon Products but get one with an optical zoom. You can find a used Canon Powershot A85 online. Under $100 used. At 3.2 megapixels that's a steal. Don't trust used? Try the newest model Powershot A420 or A430.They are easy to use and produce exceptional pictures in any situation. Stay away from the Nikon Coolpix 5700. Great name but poor product. In low light it hunts for a focus for minutes before locking on.

I have a Kodak easy share. It's simple and takes great pictures. Get one with the bigger optical zoom (vs. the digial zoom). The optical zoom allows you to zoom in farther and still get a crisp picture. The digital zoom will do that, however you may get that 'bunch of tiny little boxes' look. You can't blow those photos up any further. Good Luck!

Hi, I recommand you to try google picasa.

picasa is a Google's photo software. It's what should've come with your camera.

It can Edit , organise and Share you picture and small video flips.

It's very easy to use and is free, just like Google

Download it free in here:

Good Luck!
