If I could afford to give my brothers and sisters that much it would be nice but I have 11 brothers and sisters so I would go broke really fast. What is more important it to make time to do something with them. Get together for lunch, or dinner. Or make an effort to give them a thoughtful gift other than money (some people think money is the cop out gift when you don't take the time to know what the recipient wants)

Well, that depends on a few things. First, is the $150 in your budget? Is that amount something that's easy to give?
Also, you might want to try and be proactive with them. Remember that the phone rings both ways. Make a better effort to call them and make your relationship with them better. If you try and they still seem to not want to do anything with you, then I'd find it quite reasonable to take that money down to a smaller level - maybe a $25 - $40 gift card would work well in that case.

Maybe you should pick alternative gifts... Send them each a $25 gift card to a place they may like... & host a family dinner. I think we've lost sight of what the Holidays are about! It's about coming together, if only for just that one day!... It's NOT about the ammount of the check or who hasn't called who.

Definitely not! If they don't have the courtesy to call you and thank you for your gift than you're just an ATM for them. Especially if they're adults, or age 13 or older. If they're 12 or under then I guess it's okay- kids that age haven't really learned the etiquette of gift-giving and receiving.

How old are you folks? What do they give you?
$75 is a lot, there is no commuications, sent a CARD next time.
Maybe let them know that you will be in town to take them out to lunch or something. If there is no interest, that's fine, Merry Xmas.

Yes I would still send the gift to them but reduce the cash to about $50.00 and a $25.00 phone card to call me.

Do they at least thank you for it and can you afford it? If both answers are yes, then I would still do it. Christmas is about giving, but don't allow yourself to be taken advantage of.

if your all adults, no I wouldn't . . if they are still underaged, I would probably give them something as a gift because they are still your siblings . . . however, if you can't afford to be that generous, do what you can and if they don't appreciate it, next year give them nothing

You can stop sending money but they won't stop being your brother and sister.
