Well.. kinda like Rolaids.. "How do you spell relief?"

Isn't it funny that we attack anyone who blurts anything against Israel or the Jewish faith and label them as anti-Semitic? Why on the other hand do we feel "free" to act in an "anti-Semitic" manner towards other faiths and particularly Muslims?

Last night on Jay Leno's show, he told a joke using the word "Islamists." No one really laughed. No headlines were read this morning objecting to such statements. But consider this: if he had replaced the word with "Jewish" then the whole country would have been up in arms against him [Jay Leno].

Double standards?

And we wonder why the world hates us?

Man what are you talking about? It's about protecting one's interests. Israel is an American ally, Muslims (or Muslim states) are not. Not to mention the huge jewish contingency in America.

Muslims hate anyone who questions Islam, but they are ok to bash America and Israel. So what. Just think of it as teams.

The world hates us because we kill innocent people for economic growth and world power. Panama, Afghanistan, and I saw a figure yesterday of 45,000 Iraqis dead. (And counting.) Sure we are hypocrites in many ways, but your "question" isn't one of them.

Plus, I think you are wrong about comedians. I saw a joke on Comedy Central the other day:

Q: "What's the difference between a Jew and canoe?"
A: "The canoe will eventually tip."

Was the country up in arms? No, no one cared! Good day, Batman.

You have a valid point.

Its all due to the lack of education of the people in this country and the tendency of most of us to jump on the bandwagon when it comes to making fun of others.

I'm not saying it is not ok to laugh or make jokes

im just tired of people not being able to take jokes

when did we all become so damn sensitive

i am speaking as a Hispanic male who has experienced a little racism and who has also practices a little of it as well

it because everyone has to be "special" and you can't say or do certain things because someones feelings might get hurt.

we are all racists to some degree.

some of us just hide it better than others.

Even if we were to get everybody on the same level as far as education racism and bigotry would still exist because we are all
"different".

making fun of people is as natural as breathing.

it stems from our curiosity as children when we first learn about the world around us .

we ask questions then that are considered by some to be racist.

Myself.

I hate people of all races, religions, sects, culures
and even my own family.

I use slurs and insults when referring to them all the time.

I also have freinds in all of the groups i have just mentioned

I use slurs and insults to refer to them all the time

why

because they can take a damn joke

because we all took the time to learn about each other as human beings first before applying labels to one another.

we learned to laugh at all of the silly little things in our own different worlds that make every race, creed, religion sexual orientation, both great and stupid.

the world would be a better place if we all took time to do this
