I don't know how to be loved?

it means they did not get that motherly love when they were little and it scares them away when you love them.

They must have had a horriable childhood and are dealing with some serious issues... They need help... Get them help thats one way to show them you love em

I think it might mean they don't have enough self-esteam to accept that someone cares enough about them too love them.
