I am a really really fussy eater. I am used to it but others can sometimes react badly. I had a date with a guy in a pub, had a few drinks-it was fine. Now he has invited me to a chinese restaurant. when he asked he sounded like he has really checked this place out and really wants to take me there. the problem is the only thing on a chinese menu i can eat is plain boiled rice and (maybe a dessert). I don't want to tell him this early on what a fussy eater i am as some people find it really off putting, yet if he finds out when he knows me better he probably won't mind.
But how do you think he will feel if i order just plain boiled rice.

If I was you I would spring your fussy eating on him when he has got to know you a bit better. Show him your other wonderful qualities first. Tell him that you would like to go for a drink instead, make up a good excuse like you have eaten already or have food poisoning or you would simply rather just go for a drink.
I think it will be too much for him at this early stage. However tell him you though the thought of the chinese restaurant was good and maybe another time

Tell him up front that you are not fussed on chinese. Dont let him take u there and then eat rice!!! Suggest a place that you like instead or steer clear of a meal and suggest something else. Flicks, bowling, karting, drinks, anything that doesnt involve food if you are not comfortable with telling him about your eating habits.

I think he would feel like you were taking the piss out of him personally. Just being honest.

Oh come on! Surely you can be just a little adventurous for once in your life. He will think you're weird if all you eat is boiled rice, unless he's desperate, and if he is, maybe you don't want to be with him.

He should be ok with that. It shouldn't matter what you eat. It should matter if he likes you or not. If he doesnt' like it then he's definatley not good enough for you. He may ask you about it but he may either be curious or want to start a conversation

Is there something wrong with honesty?

Just tell him you don't like chinese. And most chinese restaurants have alternate foods like salads etc. for people who don't like chinese food

Very confused.Be honest with him from the start. Not all people like Chinese meals. Its not a crime.I am sure it is your company he wants.I am sure he will not be bothered about your eating habits.Good luck and happy eating.

My expensive, no ask your self he could use his feet as chopsticks. curiously he has his hand firmly placed on the knees of blonde ladies, the naughty element. He has even lined the evidence above. you may delight in courting him on activities to "save your hand in", yet frankly he's each and each guy or woman's for a beeswax rub.

I'd think you were a cheap date. Seriously, tell the guy up front, BEFORE he takes you there. It you wait till you get there, he might think you're weird.
