When I was agirl in the 1950's, back home in Ireland, I got a summer job in a butchers shop. They did their own slaughtering of cattle and sheep. One day, I heard a very posh female voice at the counter. ‘I think my husband would like some ox brain today for a change. Is there any fresh’.
‘Certainly madam’ answered the boss, ‘I will prepare it specially for you if you wait a moment’. He called me out into the back room. ‘Run down to the dump and get me a
couple of ox heads’ he whispered, and having learned the hard way not to ask questions, I did what I was asked.
On arrival at the dump, which was some distance down the yard, you must believe me, that this being the month of July, and a heat wave being in progress, the dump would not
stay still in one place for long. There were so many chandlers or maggots that it was moving about. I still did not query my order. I got two heads, which had been part of carcasses slaughtered many days before and were crawling alive. I took them to the boss, he hosed them down, cracked the sculls and removed the brains. He washed, then placed them on a dish and showed them to the lady. She was delighted and did in fact return the
following day to compliment the boss on the quality and freshness

Sweet Bread is very good it's like hawaiian bread. Next time you go to the store ask the sales personals do they sale it. Its so good, if we are talking about the same thing it's not any thing to do with animals, and inside body parts. All it is, is sweetened bread.
