A baby sitter. At home.

Gwyneth Paltrow takes her daughter Apple to see her dad's concerts, and protects her ears with big headphone-looking ear covers called Peltor Kid Headset. Link below.

Why?- nothing is more annoying than a child being somewhere that they are too young for- then they get bored and their parents start screaming at them for acting like children when it is really the parents fault for bringing the child in the first place.

I suggest you leave him at home if you can (he won't remember it anyway, and if it's gonna be that loud, he definitely doesn't need it!)
On the assumtion that you'll ignore my first suggestion, you can cut adult soft earplugs down to a size that will fit into a small ear canal... I've seen this done for airplane trips.
