i just got my hair cut past my collar bone with lots of layers. i put it in large hot rollers the other day and i had a really big head of hair, lot of volume. the layers spread the curls out rather than concentrating them at the ends like when i just had a blunt straight cut.

Wow, people are rude. Anyway, if you want volume, use a volumizing shampoo and conditioner and turn your head over and blow dry your hair from the root to the tip, adding a very small amount of volumizing product and teasing the roots a little as you go. If your hair is still flat, you may want to consider a perm, but have it done professionally!

Use volumizers like mooses or sprays, spray your roots when blowdrying, using a round brush to dry your hair, using an upward motion. Tease your hair, use a teasing comb that you can buy for $3-$10 at the salon and tease your hair. Always use a good hairspray to hold your style in place so that it doesn't fall flat.

1. Blow dry your hair with your head hanging down, upside down
so to speak.
2. Back comb your hair. Then hair spray
3. Back comb your hair some more, and more hair spray

Buy a teasing comb to fluff your hair with or blow dry upside down to add body and bounce.

you can get a perm for 5$ at Wal-mart and have big hair :) It's really not that hard to do either.
