average about 1 per day, but I''m inconsistant. None on the weekends, and anywhere between none and 5 on a work day. I enjoy it, but don''t miss it if its not there.

If you are an athlete (especially a runner or swimmer) you probably shouldn't have any. It dehyrates you. But some people just need their morning coffee.

The current per capita consumption level of caffeine for adults is approximately 200 mg. daily, showing a mean intake of 3 mg./kg. body weight (1, 4). For children and young adults, the primary source of caffeine is tea, while caffeine intake for adults 25 and older is mostly derived from coffee (4).

Just stick with 1-2 caffinated drinks.

I think caffeine is a neuro toxin and should not be ingested at all. The reason it causes a wakeful feeling is because it is irritating the nerves through out the body. Also caffeine adversely affects one's sleep patterns and reduces the beneficial effects of sleep. In addition, there are the harmful long term cumulative effects on cardiovascular system and there are some studies that have linked it to cancer formation.

I recommend staying away from caffeine if at all possible. Certainly do not use it routinely, like every day or even every week.

Well to tell ya the truth none .. it isn't a good thing for you.. but if you do then make sure you match it with that much water.. 1:1 ratio.. ( that is added to your daily in take of water) eg: 8 glassess a day and 2 cups of coffee means 2 more glassess of water.. plus try to stay away from drinking after 2 pm it will keep you up at night and not let you get a great sleep

good luck

I think limit would be 1-3 beverages per day, because caffeine is not good for health.
It's just a habit to wake you up in the morning, during working time, or if traveling long drive or only to share others.
any way better to drink water and fruit juices.

According to the research people, we should not drink any caffinated beverages.
However, I start the day with two cups of regualr coffee and then nothing else caffinated the rest of the day.

Coffee just doesn't mix well with vodka

It depends on how much you need, and how sensitive you are to it, and how much caffein is in the drink. For example, I make VERY STRONG coffee, and in most days I only need a very little bit, so I drink maybe a half a cup in the morning and the same in the early afternoon. If I'm going on a long drive, say, to another city, around 100+ miles, I may drink a whole cup on the drive. But, at my age, in my mid-50's, and around 190 pounds, and VERY used to drinking coffee, I need a bit more to get the same job done, whereas, a younger person, who has comparatively little experience with coffee, wouldn't want to drink the coffee I make because it's WAAAYYYYYYYYY too strong, and they might not need as much regular coffee because they may be more sensitive to it. When you're drinking soft drinks with caffein, you need to consider the amount of sugar also included, so, consider all these factors for your individual needs and experience. God Bless you.

It is recommended that one should consume no more than 1-2 caffinated beverages per day.

Since we all respond to caffine differently, I think the amount each person can handle is different too. If you notice you're starting to feel "wired" or are acting differently after- say 3 colas, or 2 cups of coffee or tea- then that would be YOUR "limit". There is no "standard limit" from person to person.
