My surefire cure for a cold is two Alka Seltzer cold tablets, a gulp of the orange Triaminic, and a bowl of chicken noodle soup - usually Campbell's. Might not work for other people, but for me this works every time. It also usually puts me to sleep for an hour or two, but then I can resume my day.

Any clear broth will do, so long as it is does not contain anything overly greasy in it.

Also be sure to get plenty of vitamin C, so drink Juice, and eat fruits that aren't TOO acidic.
