Yes. I try to read my Bible daily. God speaks to my heart, through the word. I start from the beginning, and go to the end. Some days, God leads me to different books of the Bible. He always has the answer for me in the Bible. I put my Faith, and Trust in Him. He reveals it to me.

Yes, the Lord leads me in what to study...
But basically you should have a concordance handy so you can look up original text and meanings to get the most from scripture....

almost daily. I have been reading John...one chapter per day based on the day. For instance, today is the 23rd, so I should read John 23.

And why would you do that? The bible is a collection of historical writings of a tribe of people living 2000 years ago, who knew nothing of science, and were scared stiff of everything and anything. {They knew nothing of science, of how reproduction works, how the heart pumps, where the brain was, and what it's function was. They thought the earth was the center of the universe........ We now know it is a spot in the cosmos, and each of us is a puny collection of about $14 (American) of chemicals and compounds that we each get to use more or less for about 80 years.... } If anything good happened to them, it was because of a god, if anything bad happened to them it was because of a devil. Things were simple..... the bible has been added to, subtracted from and changed zillions of times to the benefit of those who wished to keep others under their power. Same for the koran, and other instruments of revealed truth... Why would I wish to study something so out of date, so unscientific, so childish, so much of a fairytale, and think it is valuable in a scientific world? God is something far greater than a biblical old man with a beard, walking hand in hand with jesus on a shaft of light, coming to earth, and on judgement day, having bodies floating up to the heavens where the good get to sit, and the bad condemned to a burning fate with the guy in a red suit and a pitchfork, flicking a pointed tail. If one wishes to believe in god, it is the smile on a child's face, the love of a man and a woman for each other and their children, the beauty of a tree, the energy of a foal running beside his mother in a field of grass, the brilliance of an artist changing mere pigments into images, of a surgeon making someone's body again working pain free. That is what one studies, that, is god. god, sir, is knowledge, not superstition.......

I read it for my self every day and I share it with others. I pray and ask the Lord to show me what He wants me to see and understand each day I begin to read it and He does.
Do you read the bible for yourself?
