The life span of stars is determinant on science. God is determinant on faith..

All that exists in the universe was created because of the big bang. If you believe in God...then He was the one that initiated the big bang. Our little brains will never be able to comprehend God's plan so there is no use in trying. What is of use however, is trying to figure out all the steps He took to get us to where we are today, and trying to figure out where we are headed in the future. Stars were here long before us and they will be here long after us. In all actuality, the light you see from the stars in the sky is millions, even billions of years old. Some of the star light that you see in the night sky is from stars that have died many eons ago. This means that the energy created by the life of the star continues on even after the star has died...hopefully the same thing happens to us when we die.

Religion and science can coexist contrary to what some may try to get you to believe. As far as the life span of stars and God's plan it is irrelevent. God made the stars with the ability to last millions of years, just as He made the Earth to last millions of years, but that doesn't mean that they will or that God's plan can't exist within a time frame that is a lot shorter than the life span of a star.
Because a star's life span might technically last a lot longer than God's plan that doesn't mean that God must not exist. The two are irrelevent of eachother.

It fits just fine, along with our own star, the sun. From the beginning of creation also known as the Big Bang, we have evolved stars and whole galaxies of them, and are still evolving. I think God's original command to go forth and multiply, meant He gave us the stars to multiply onto, and the billions of years since have produced so many worlds we will spend an eternity following just that one commandment. All we need to do is tear religion away from the fanatics and give our God given talents a chance to let science put us there among the stars.

When God created the universe, probably in the big bang theory we have, the angels applauded in song.

The life span of stars is determinant on science. God is determinant on faith. The two don't correlate. However, there are mentions in Revelations about a third of the stars falling from heaven. So my guess is that God decides when He wants it to occur and not on a scientific timetable.
