In this bibical state of speaking, it means that you can literally see
with your eyes but yet be blind to spiritual things. This was a par-
able to say how can the blind lead the blind in any state of affairscause hey both will fall into the ditch. An example is this if two people are dumb then how can they figure the problem out,
both of them will fail the test.

Even those who are phsyically blind can see more with their spiritual eyes if they have been born again by accepting Jesus as their savior. Their body may have a handicap with them being blind, but God sees their soul as perfect.

No! The reference made here is Spiritual blindness. There was many people in the old days, as are in this day and time, that are following false doctrine. The leaders of a lot of churchs have been decieved by satan, and are teaching for doctrines, the ways of men. Heaping to thermselves teachers, having itching ears have turned aside and gone astray in the way of compromising God's word. Teaching such things as eternal security. First of all if you are a true born again Christian, your thoughts will be more like, Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not to thine own understanding, but in all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes but fear the Lord and depart from evil. How many people truly fear, trust, and obey Him. Thats where the unspeakable feeling of the Holy Spirit rules and reigns in your life. A man named Peter was called as one of the Lord's disciples. This man actually showed an example of Faith when HE stepped out of the boat, onto the water and walked on it till he took his eyes off of the Lord. But when he looked at the troubled water, he began to sink, and the Lord reached out and caught him and said " Oh ye of little faith, wherefore did'st thou doubt. In other words, If you keep your eyes on Him, and lay aside every sin and pray for guidance, He will always be a breathe away. But, Revelations 3:5 He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels. Write again..... Jesus loves you !!

Some people that have their eyesight are still blind. Maybe the saying doesn't have anything to do with sight.

Actually, without my contact lenses, I'm pretty dang close to blind, so no misconceptions about that here.

I think that this is definately a religous term like if someone doesn't have contact with God they can't lead someone to it
