It has been so long since I was a complete virgin I can't exactly remember what it was like. I think that would be before third grade grammar school age.
Looking for serious answers if at all possible.

I guess I am referring to the feeling of true innocence. The feeling of being alive, being happy to be alive, being happy with things not knowing sex even exists.

I believe there was a time when I did not know what sex was, but I was happy despite that.
Has anyone else had this feeling?
If this is possible then perhaps this is argument against those who would involve children in sex.

I never actually had sex with anyone until I was almost nineteen years of age.

It felt great when I was completely ignorant to sex. It isn't bad to be a virgin if you are ignorant of sex (ignorance is bliss). Once the media gets to you then it sucks a lot. Men are pressured by other men that if they can't get laid they are losers. Women are pressured by other women that if they get laid they probably are going to be branded slut. You then have all these stereotypes running in your head instead of real life issues like bills or school and you end up feeling depressed. Women end up with "buyers remorse" and being called names once they get laid and men keep banging their head trying to get laid and start bashing stereotypes like the jerk label.
Just imagine, how life would be like if you never had to do anything because you didn't care about what others thought of you. No job. No exercise. You just don't care. That's why some homeless people are happy that way, just plain ignorant of their poor quality of life. If you don't know what to fear or hate how can you fear it in the first place? :)

I hope no one gives you a 'serious' answer because it's only going to be come an artificial fantasy world where people define virginity as something special. It's silly - we humans manufacture mounds and mounds and mounds of concepts and layers on top of simple reality. A mountain is a mountain, thirst is thirst, sex is sex. All of these ideals and belief systems - makes yer head spin.

First of all, I am so sorry that you had your innocence taken so early. Secondly, it's been awhile for me, but what I remember is feeling secure about myself, nervous, excited in an anything-can-happen-great-unknown kind of way. It felt new and beautiful. It felt confusing to be a virgin and have cravings but not knowing what they were entirely. I would give anything to be that naive again if only for a little while.

It's like waiting for a change to come. Someone that will keep themself pure and wait for the right man. This is a real bright, intelligent woman that will let her kids be for one man. Then again a virgin do not put herself on the spotlight entangling herself with uninvited guess.

If by "real virgin" you mean "has done nothing at all of a sexual nature," that's been so long ago I've forgotten. If you just mean intercourse, then I do remember that and I felt left out like all the kids were doing it. And they were. So I did.

Being a virgin wasn't so bad. I mean I didn't know what I was missing. But if I had to go without now, it would really suck.

Nothing was different apart from the fact I had not had sex yet. I was curious about what it was like. Now I'm not.

Men with fragile egos need virgins so they won't be compared to other men.

Third grade. Please, unless you were a glandular freak, or an extremely old 3rd grader, being a guy, I don't think that was physically possible for you.
