Bobby Jones --------Do I really need to explain!
Walter Hagen--------Tiger only just past his majors total
Gene Sarazen------1st ever Professional Career Grand Slam
Harry Vardon--------6 British Opens
Tommy Armour----British & US opens & US PGA ret. pre Masters
Willie Anderson-----4 US opens, including 3 in a row 1903-05
James Braid---------5 British Opens
John H Taylor--------5 British Opens
Old Tom Morris-----4 British Opens
Tom Morris Jnr-----4 British Opens Pioneered Professional Game

Tommy Armour was also probably one of the greatest teachers the game has ever known. When he first started teaching in 1935 he commanded a fee of $50 a lesson. Work that in todays dollars baby!
I still believe that to this day he has written the best instruction book on golf that has ever been written.
" How to Play Your Best Golf all of the Time"

I left a very good player out of the Top 10 but he would come in at 11. That is Leo Diegel He won 2 USPGA Titles 1928-29. He stopped Walter Hagen in 1928 he also had a total of 26 tour victories
His instruction book:
"The 9 Bad Shots of Golf and What to do About Them",
if still in print should be read by everyone who asks a swing or bad shot question on Answers because it is still as relevent today as it was when he wrote it.

The easiest way to learn golf like a pro is by following "The Simple Golf Swing" program. It's primarily a 31 page eBook that teaches golfers how to make solid contact with the ball, how to avoid hitting fat, how to avoid slicing, how get more power, accuracy, and consistency in your swing. Consistency being the number 1 golf skill.

You not only get the eBook though, you also receive a ton of extra material including video, lessons on putting, driving, chipping, sand play etc. Here is their official site: http://www.golfswingguru.net
