I think of it like this... you have a suicidal state of mind, suffering, well... in death it's probably going to carry over. Hell.

No, I do not. The soul who does this is extremely troubled, and in many cases, suffers with depression, which is a physical illness, and can be deadly if the person is suicidal.

I don't believe in eternal bliss or eternal damnation, but that the soul progresses after the physical life. To committ suicide is to give up on ALL HOPE - in self and in God. It's not a blaspheme against the Holy Spirit, so therefore it is forgivable.

However, the soul in that state is severly handicapped for the spiritual realm. They will suffer in the afterlife, but not eternally. They need to let God heal them, and this can take time.

Whenever I answer a question like this, I'm deeply aware that someone may be reading this who is seriously contemplating suicide—and I would do everything in my power to convince them not to take that final, drastic step. With Christ there is always hope.

God loves them; He loves them so much that Jesus Christ was willing to die on the cross for their salvation. And others care about them, as well (even if they have a hard time believing it). Suicide is never God's will, and even in the midst of life's worst storms we can look to Christ and discover that He truly is "an anchor for the soul, firm and secure" (Hebrews 6:19). The first step back from the brink of suicide is to turn to Christ and open our hearts to Him.

Suicide is always a tragedy—but in itself it is not the unpardonable sin. The only sin God cannot pardon is the sin of rejecting Jesus Christ, God's Son. it is by God's grace we are saved, not because we are perfect. The Bible says, "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith" (Ephesians 2:8).

Take comfort in Jesus' words: "He who believes in me will live, even though he dies" (John 11:25). Then ask Him to help you reach out to others who grieve or may be hurting, and to point them to Jesus, who alone gives us hope.

No, Suicide is not the Unpardonable Sin.
Leaving the EARTH for Good, with-out getting SAVED (Spirit Recreated, Born-Again)will.
JESUS said, if you Don't Believe WHO I AM, then you will Perish, especially if you LEAVE the EARTH for GOOD that way.
Hope this helps.

True story:

A woman I worked with smokes. She had already admitted that she knows smoking will kill her, and was fine with that.

She is also a "born again" Christian. We asked her this same question, and she answered that if you knowingly kill yourself, no matter what the reason or how you do it, your soul will burn in Hell forever.

We asked her if it mattered how long it took to kill yourself, and she was quite steadfast in her belief that killing yourself = eternal damnation.

Then we asked her why she smoked if she knew it would kill her. She didn't talk to us for three months.

Maybe blind faith and circular logic don't mix with reason?

Well, I'm not exactly sure what the Word says about it although the church preaches that you do. But if you are going to play God and take your own life I don't see how the Lord can appreciate that very much...

No I do not believe in "hell" and therefore don't believe that anyone who dies by whatever means goes to this fictitious place.
