It is definitely not racist. Racism is when you are discriminating against someone because of the color of their skin. Saying someone likes fried chicken is a common stereotype in our culture, often used as a joke. It isn't a negative insult. If someone is actually offended by this statement, they are being ridiculously sensitive.

It is not racist, it is stereotyping.
Racism means you think one race is superior to another.
Most stereotypes exist because there really are behavioral tendencies that alot of members of specific races, nationalities, ethnicities, etc. tend to exhibit, like Irish or Russians tend to drink alot of alchohol, or Mexicans are good at landscaping.
