Why is this limited to Christians?
There are a number of people who feel that by correcting the spelling, punctuation, and grammar of the questioner that they can inspire them to provide a fuller, clearer, and more considered question next time.
But mainly it's because some people can't leave a word misspelled, particularly when there is a Check Spelling option built into Yahoo! Answers.

You cant but a ? half way though a sentence. What you meant was '....answers the question or negates the point been made....'
As you can see there is no need for the ? in the middle.
I am not a Christian so cant answer your question sorry.

Well I'm definitely not a Christian but I strongly object to the appalling spelling and grammatical mistakes we get on Answers! I always think the person writing them is either an immature, stupid child or an ignorant adult. Going by your nickname you could fall into either category.

Nothing to do with Christians or any other religious group (or any group for that matter)
It would be good manners - and a way for others to answer questions better - if you used the spell checker.
Often questions are incomprehensible due to spelling or grammatical errors
Not being picky - it helps communication and understanding!

First I find it hard to believe it's only Christians. Secondly, most people will judge you and your question by your spelling and grammar. Learn to communicate correctly and people will pay more attention to you. I have always been poor at spelling and I always have a dictionary at hand so I don't appear to be illiterate.

I agree that everybody (not just Christians) does that. But to answer your question, the point of noting your spelling errors is that it questions the intelligence of the asker, and thus the validity of the question.

I'm not a Christian, but I do the same thing. People who cannot spell, or cannot even use spell check are wrong!

You'd have to ask the individual involved.
More generally, you'll find as you grow up, that good communications skills are vital to making one's own point.
