For whatever it's worth, I think it's great that you're turning to the bible for guidance. I think that the bible is full of information that is helpful in both good times and in bad times.
I don't understand your situation from the limited information in your question, but I suggest that you read more of the bible (maybe 1 Corinthians?) to find the comfort you seem to seek.

Time to read the bible. Start with the 10 commandments. Thou shall not kill! Sound like anything you've heard before?

i think the emphasis on that part of the bible should be in the seasons ... that even in times of war and killing .. the time should move to times of peace and love
i don't feel it means that killing should be done .... but will be done
