well apparently in Many languages, they use similar words for Mother and Father!

korean, uses "umma" and "appa" as mother and father.....so there are many different but similar words in many different languages...

uppa would probalby mean father :)

Phonetically "umma" and "Uppa" mean mom and dad in Tamil. Any chance the words were being used by Tamil speaking people?
