She is 7 years old and never had any health problems. Yes I will get her to a vet, but nervous until tomorrow. Before any animal activists get un-nerved. She has had her shots & dewormed, and was breed with a well taken care of male. Her puppies do not go to shelters, she is of champion bloodlines w/ papers and her pups go to serious buyers only. I'm worried about her, once again she is going to a vet tomorrow.

You shouldn't be breeding your dog if you are not educated in basic K-9 diseases. Have you checked this dog and the father for any genetic diseases, hips, elbows, eyes, patellas? Then no you are not a responsible breeder. Just because you have a dog with a champion bloodline, doesn't mean that animals needs to procreate. You cannot guarentee that your puppies will not end up in a shelter, unless you have a contract with the buyer that ensures they give the puppy back to you if they can no longer care for it. Any way!

This could be a critical emergency. Pyometra a deadly codition that kills more female dogs every year. Please, if you do continue to breed your dogs, do some light touching up on some doggie info. for the sake of your dog, and your dogs offspring, so you will be able to recognize an emergency when it appears. I wouldn't wait till tomarrow to take her to the vet, she might not make it if she does have pyometra.
