Besides caffeine in cola drinks I personally choose not to drink any carbonated drinks because the carbonation gives me a stomach ache. So I know that for me to be health wise I shouldn't drink carbonated drinks. After seeing how much caffeine there is in a chocolate bar I have made a goal to lower my chocolate intake, to eat healthier, and stick to my exercise program.

Caffeine Chocolate Bar

It depends. If you're taking about your average chocolate candy bar, you'll get about 30 milligrams of caffeine. That's minor campared to your average cup of coffee, which has 100-150 mgms (and maybe more if you're at Starbucks or one of the major coffee houses. Many soft drinks also have caffeine (actually soft drinks get their added caffeine from those coffees which have been decaffeinated). But you'll also find caffeine as a natural ingredient in teas (about 25-40 mgs for cup). Plus, it's in some ice creams and frozen yogurts, in caffeinated waters, and in certain over the counter medications (especially those that prevent drowsiness).

Yes. The darker the chocolate, the more caffeine. There's less caffeine in milk chocolate, so I say go for it ;)

chocolate doesn't have as much caffine as everyone thinks. it's the sugar that gives you the real high. also, most drinks have caffine unless they say so. plus coffee and tea.
