NO, it is ruled by descendants of Castillian Spanish..... who enslaved the Native Central Americans living there at the time of the unwashed conquistadors.
Guess what..... they still rule.... they still want slaves..... they will never treat the Mexican populace decently until those Mexicans who DESERT Mexico, and illegally enter the USA and gain immediate criminal status, return to Mexico and fight for freedom and a decent life in Mexico... It is the only way, the US cannot do it for them....
When the citizens of a country DESERT their country, they are turning their back on their people and their country. They steal from their own country and the country they criminally enter.

No. Mexico is not largely currently populated by Spanish. Most Mexicans are Mestizos. However, you do make a good point. They claim to be indigenous, but their Indian ancestors came from southern Mexico and central America, not any part of what is now the US. And, their Spanish ancestors were conquistadors and colonists, not native to any part of the US.
The US as a country, not a continent, was founded by Europeans. Not immigrants, etc. They conquered or bought all the land which is now the US. We were born here, we are home and don't need racists to tell us to leave.

There are only 9% white people in Mexico. The rest are the descendants of the Native American tribes. Hispanic and Spanish are 2 very different things from ethnic point of view. Just like American and English are not the same just because you speak English!

That's the funny thing about the anti-american rhetoric.
Up until the Mexican government started advocating the invasion of the USA, most Mexicans and other South of the Border inhabitants would usually try to distance their 'indian' heritage. Now, its in vogue, apparently.
It is so much easier to call illegal immigration racist. There really aren't any other logical ways to argue for the continued immigration of Mexican refugees.
-I washed dishes and did janitorial work when *I* was a teenager. Send the illegals back and give our kids their jobs back!

Honey, your question is a monument to stupidity. The inhabitants of Spain are not in any way shape or form Indigenous Mongoloids like Mexico. Please stay away from the immigration debate. You’re making us look like uneducated rednecks.
EDIT
You asked:
"Where did they get all these "spanish" sir names if they have no "spanish" in them.
Honey, perhaps you should stay out of the immigration debate for a while, your making us all sound like stupid Latinophobes"
Once again, you give everybody another reason why you should be shot to the moon, baby doll. The majority of Mexicans are actually mestizos (tiny portion of Caucasian Spanish genes and the rest Mongoloid “Indian”), while Spaniards are of Nordic and Iberian stock. The only things they both share in common are European surnames and language. Now would it make sense to put a 98 percent ******* Haitian, with a French surname to France?

actually..
you are WRONG (at least factually inaccurate)
"Mexico is a racially and ethnically diverse country. Its three main ethnic groups are mestizos (mixed European and Amerindian), Amerindians, and Europeans. According to the CIA World Factbook, mestizos account for 60%, Amerindians for 30%, whites for 9%, and others 1%. [4] Whites are mostly Spanish"
citizens of the USA on the other hand, by and large have NO native blood whatsoever!!

I think what many people who argue for Mexican's rights to enter the USA illegaly forget one simple thing. Yes, our forefathers were immigrants. LEGAL IMMIGRANTS. We don't hate Mexicans, we hate anyone who enters this country illegaly. Especially due to the recent report showing that Al Qaeda, our biggest enemy could be operating in Mexico now.
