Gargle with salt water at the back of your throat. Mix 2teaspoons of salt with a glass of lukewarm water and stir, then take a gulp and hold to the back of throat and gargle, do this about 8-10 times and spit all water out, and then drink plain water and keep throat lubricated until soreness pass.

Mix up about one tablespoon of plain table salt and mix well in very warm water. Gargle several times a day and your sore throat will disappear, if it's not cause by infection. If it doesn't go away in a day, tell your Mom or Dad and perhaps they will take you to the Dr. It won't hurt a bit for him to look.

Try gargling (be sure not to swallow) with Listerine mouthwash.
Gargle three to four mouthfulls about 4 to 5 times a day. You should feel it working within the day or easily by the second day.

Works great for me ;)
