Okay, so I'm starting school next week and I'm really nervous. Since my eyesight's really really thick, I need to have my glasses on everytime. But thoses glasses make me look like a total nerd! What if people think I'm ugly and start to hate me?(especially the guys.)
And I'm also kinda worried about my grades. What if my grades aren't good enough to go to a good high school? I don't wanna get bad grades. I'm not the kinda girl who likes studying. I hate studying.
Plz Help! *shiver*

I start tommorow, as a Sophomore. I'm nervous, but I will try not to get that to catch me. I'm just listening to music, get school off my mind for now. Anyway..here's some friendly tips:

1.) Don't worry about it. Who cares what other people think of you, even guys. If they are real and keep it true, then they wouldn't care about appearance in the first place.

2.) Studying? What? I don't like studying either, but i've learned over the years to become a good reader and be able to skim through and read bold print, or whatever that I need to read on a future test

3.) When you get to high school, the homework becomes more 'study/readwork' so you might as well get practice now by studying. Sure you don't like it, but hey, life isn't fair.

If you have any questions, or more detailed tips, email me at diehardramsfan28@hotmail.com, and i'll try to help more.

First, take a deep breath and relax - if you get too worked up over it, then you will be even more anxious!

As for your glasses - can you wear contacts and glasses - that way maybe you're glasses won't be as thick. I can honestly tell you (as someone who wears contacts or glasses), many people don't even notice glasses anymore.

For grades - take your time when doing assignments, ask questions if you aren't sure of the answer or what the teacher is talking about in class and if you need to stay after for help from the teacher. If you don't want to do that, then ask your mom/dad if you can get a tutor to help you (if you need help).

Just try to get new glasses as soon as possible. There's a couple nice frames out there for thick lenses.

Here's a tip from somebody I know: Keep at least a 3.5 GPA if you can, so you have some room to get some c's and d's. Take hard math, and easy everything else.

get contacts or who cares about the boys your grades are going to matter 10 times more than guys, guys can get you in trouble and give you heartbreaks but good grades can get you into a good college and succeed so much in the future
