you have a couple of options.
if you no someone who can do french braids you would have them put just one. not 2! then wait 1-3 days it depends on how curly you want them. then take them out and you dont have to put any hair sray in them unless you have really thin hair!
or when you get out of the shower scrunch your hair for like 1-2 minutes then put some stiling stuff in your hair and keep scrunching for like another 30 sec. (moose works best!) then put some hair spray in!

Use the cool shot button on your hairdryer. Make sure your hair is completely dry, use the curling iron and then while the curl is still warm...use the cool shot. The cool air will hold the curl.
